While Mike Tyson getting in trouble in nothing new, this situation is a bit more grey than those conflicts in the past. After being pestered with insults, Tyson eventually engaged in a scuffle that left his antagonizer bloodied and confused.

Video shows Tyson punching a man seated a row behind him at San Francisco International Airport. A witness on the plane told TMZ that the former heavyweight champ was initially cordial to fans asking for photographs but one man continued talking in Tyson’s ear which appeared to irritate him before punches flew.

Representatives for Mike Tyson have offered their explanation for why the retired boxer punched a man in the face several times. The man was allegedly “harassing” Tyson and even threw a water bottle at him in the “aggressive” encounter.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Tyson had an incident on a flight with an aggressive passenger who began harassing him,” Tyson’s team said on Thursday, per TMZ Sports, “and threw a water bottle at him while he was in his seat.”

Other sources close to Tyson say the man harassing the 55-year-old retired fighter was allegedly “extremely intoxicated” and wouldn’t stop provoking him in his seat.
