Randy Murdaugh, the brother of convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh, recently spoke out for the first time since the highly-publicized trial ended.

In an interview with Nicholas Bogel-Burroughs from the New York Times, Randy shared his thoughts on the case and his older brother’s involvement.

According to Randy, Alex Murdaugh is not being truthful about the events leading up to the murders of his wife and son. “He [Alex Murdaugh] is not telling the truth, in my opinion, about everything,” Randy stated during the interview. “He knows more than he’s saying.”

Although Randy was present at the Colleton County Courthouse during his brother’s trial, he did not attend regularly and did not take the stand to testify, unlike his younger brother John Marvin Murdaugh.

Alex Murdaugh was ultimately found guilty of the murders of his wife and son and sentenced to two consecutive life sentences. Despite this, his defense team has announced their plans to file an appeal next week.

The Murdaugh family has been under intense scrutiny since the murders occurred, with many questioning their involvement and knowledge of the events.

Randy’s comments may fuel further speculation and add to the mystery surrounding this tragic case.
