It has been nearly a year since the renowned actor Ray Liotta passed away while in the Dominican Republic, and now, his cause of death has finally been revealed. According to an official report obtained by RadarOnline.com, a medical expert has determined that Liotta suffered from heart and respiratory system issues, which ultimately led to his demise. The report states that the manner of death was natural and non-violent, attributing respiratory insufficiency, pulmonary edema, and acute heart failure as the underlying factors.
Pulmonary edema, a condition characterized by the accumulation of fluid in the lungs, was identified as one of the significant health concerns affecting Liotta. Additionally, the actor dealt with atherosclerosis, a condition in which the arteries thicken due to plaque buildup in their inner lining. This particular health issue can lead to various complications, including diabetes.

During the event, Karsen, Liotta’s daughter, delivered a heartfelt speech, expressing her family’s pride and emphasizing the significance of the honor for her late father. “It was a huge honor for him, and he was proud of himself, as me and my whole family were,” she stated. “I know it was definitely very special to him and a monumental moment in his career.” Karsen also mentioned that her father would have been surprised by the outpouring of love he received following his passing.
“He didn’t look at his life and his work as if everybody’s watching all the time,” she said. “He did it because he loved it.” Despite the emotional time for the family, they have had to deal with additional challenges recently. Liotta’s Facebook account was hacked, with the perpetrator posting celebrity death hoaxes and spreading false news to his followers.
The hacker went as far as sharing links to articles that falsely claimed the deaths of Ellen DeGeneres, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Furthermore, one of the links directed Liotta’s fans to an explicit website featuring adult content. Fortunately, the family was able to regain control of the account and put an end to the hacker’s dissemination of lies.
