Sam Haskell IV, the 35-year-old scion of a well-known Hollywood family, has been detained in a startling and terrible occurrence that has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. The homeless guy found a decapitated body in a dumpster. The grisly find happened in Encino, close to Ventura Boulevard and Rubio Avenue, and it led detectives to Haskell’s Tarzana home.
Early in the morning, the decapitated torso of a lady was found at the location by the Los Angeles Police Department. Evidence discovered at the dumpster connected them to the residence of Sam Haskell IV, the son of Hollywood producer Sam Haskell III, who is well-known for his work as the CEO of the Miss America Organization and for his roles in TV Christmas movies.
Haskell IV, his wife, their three kids, and his in-laws resided in the Tarzana house. The children’s safety has been confirmed by the authorities. But Mei Haskell, his 37-year-old wife, and her parents, 64-year-old Yanxiang Wang and 72-year-old Goashan Li, are currently missing. Reporters were notified by LAPD Detective Efren Gutierrez that all three have not been contacted.
Although the remains that were found in the dumpster have not yet been recognized, authorities believe they might be Mei Haskell’s. Investigations into the incident’s circumstances were apparently prompted by the discovery of blood and other evidence at the Haskell residence.
About five hours after the decapitated body was found, Sam Haskell IV was taken into custody in a Canoga Park mall. Before becoming an Emmy-winning producer, Sam Haskell III, his father, was a well-known A-list talent agent who represented celebrities like George Clooney and Dolly Parton. But the older Haskell was embroiled in scandal and controversy, including emails that were released that disparaged previous Miss America winners. This led to his collapse, which was documented in the A&E miniseries “Secrets of Miss America.”
The younger Haskell promoted a Hollywood lifestyle on social media and was well-known for his Instagram photos with the hashtag #richkids. Mary Donnelly Haskell, his mother, was crowned Miss Mississippi in 1977 and went on to become an actor and beauty queen.
Sam Haskell IV, the suspect, is being held at the Van Nuys jail without being granted bail. He is expected to appear in court on Monday. The public and the Hollywood community are in disbelief over the tragedy that is unfolding, and they are eager to learn more about the investigation’s findings and Mei Haskell and her parents’ whereabouts.
