A Bay Area, CA restaurant has been shut down after a viral video exposed a worker brutally slamming frozen ribs onto a filthy alleyway pavement — right beside a trash bin and a mop bucket.
The jaw-dropping video, which has racked up over 5 million views since Wednesday, shows the employee heaving a massive rack of ribs onto the grimy concrete again and again in an attempt to break them apart. Viewers were horrified, and internet sleuths wasted no time identifying the location as Pho Love in Milpitas.

Once the Santa Clara County health department got wind of the viral clip, officials visited the restaurant on Thursday — and what they found was worse than anyone expected. According to a statement from Santa Clara County Environmental Health, inspectors discovered a cockroach infestation, no proper sanitizing methods for utensils or equipment, and staff who could not demonstrate basic food-safety knowledge.
Yelp reviews quickly turned into a warning zone.
“If you like your food prepared on the floor, then I recommend this place,” one user wrote.
Another joked, “I don’t know what kind of culinary philosophy this establishment follows, but judging by the ‘kitchen annex’ out back, I’m guessing it’s post-apocalyptic street survival meets biohazard chic.”
The owner has since responded multiple times online, claiming the employee acted alone and accusing them of intentionally sabotaging the business. Still, the restaurant was cited for mishandling the incident and failing to meet food-safety standards.
“Pho Love has been closed until the operator can correct the major violations and demonstrate acceptable food handling practices,” a county spokesperson said.
Pho Love did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
