If you thought Chipotle was only known for spicy burritos, think again—things got downright heated at a West Hartford, Connecticut location over the holidays. A brawl between customers and employees was caught on video, and it’s wild.
The footage starts with a customer throwing a metal tray at a worker before diving behind the counter. The employee goes down, and the customer continues raining blows while coworkers rush in to intervene.
Meanwhile, another customer gets into it with a different employee, this time involving a lot of hair-pulling. The chaos unfolds as other patrons in line seem largely unfazed, casually leaning on booths and scrolling through their phones while the fight erupts around them.

Chipotle’s Chief Corporate Affairs and Food Safety Officer, Laurie Schalow, told CT Insider, “At Chipotle, the health and safety of our employees and our guests is our highest priority. We have zero tolerance for guests who mistreat our employees and fail to give them the respect they deserve.”
West Hartford Police confirmed the investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made at this time.
It’s unclear what sparked the fight, but one thing’s for sure—at this Chipotle, the guac prices aren’t the only thing getting out of control.
