A routine bus ride in Queens turned terrifying Tuesday afternoon when a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in an apparently unprovoked attack by a stranger, according to police and law enforcement sources.

The teen was riding a Q25 MTA bus near 82nd Drive and Parsons Boulevard in Kew Gardens Hills at around 3:50 p.m. when another rider suddenly attacked him. Without any prior interaction, the suspect allegedly stabbed the boy once in the stomach, cops said.

Sources stressed that the teen did not know the attacker and that the two had not spoken or engaged with each other before the assault. The incident happened onboard a blue Q25 bus displaying “LIMITED” on its front sign.

Emergency responders rushed the injured teen to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.

Police described the suspect only as someone between 20 and 30 years old, last seen wearing a purple coat and blue jeans. While the official description did not specify gender, law enforcement sources said the attacker was believed to be a woman.

The investigation is ongoing as police search for the suspect involved in the shocking daytime attack.

  1. New York needs to make an example of these people lock them up no bail and minimum of 40 years in prison. I am so sick of people getting off on mental illness. New York is a sewer and keeps voting in complete lowlifes stop it. Liberals think if you vote for a minority it proves you aren’t racist which is complete BS.
