A day on the water turned into a desperate search in central Florida.
Three teens were pulled to safety after their canoe suddenly flipped on Lake Jessamine — but a fourth is still missing as crews race against time to find them.
The terrifying incident happened Monday afternoon near Lake Jessamine Lane in Orange County, according to authorities.
Investigators say four teens were out on the lake when their canoe capsized, sending all of them into the water.
Rescue teams were able to save three of the teens, but one disappeared beneath the surface and has not been found.
Search crews worked through the night and into Tuesday, using boats to scan the lake and comb the shoreline for any sign of the missing teen.
Dramatic footage shows responders sweeping across the water as worried family members waited nearby for updates.
But the search has been anything but easy.
Officials say strong winds, heavy rain, and lightning have repeatedly forced crews to pause, with rough water conditions making the operation even more dangerous.
Authorities have not yet said what caused the canoe to overturn or whether the teens were wearing life jackets at the time.
