A terrifying crash in Florida has left an entire family and their neighbor seriously injured after a golf cart was struck by a car — sending all eight passengers flying.
The shocking incident happened around 6:30 p.m. in Wesley Chapel when a golf cart carrying eight people was hit by a Honda sedan. Authorities say the 43-year-old driver of the cart attempted a U-turn, crossing into the path of the car behind them.
What happened next was devastating.
The impact caused the golf cart to flip over — ejecting every single person onboard.
All eight victims were rushed to nearby hospitals with serious injuries, and some had to be airlifted by helicopter due to the severity of the crash.
Among those inside the cart were a husband and wife, their children, and a teenage neighbor. Family members say the injuries are severe and life-altering.
One woman involved in the crash was reportedly found not breathing and had to be revived with CPR multiple times before being airlifted. Doctors later discovered she suffered fractured ribs, a collapsed lung, and serious internal injuries.
“She was crushed,” a relative said, describing the horrifying scene. “They had to pull her out.”
Her husband is now dealing with a severe concussion, while several of the children were also injured. One young girl suffered a skull fracture but has since been released from the hospital.
Miraculously, the two teenagers inside the car were not injured.
Authorities say the driver of the car stayed at the scene, and no charges have been announced so far as the investigation continues.
