A father of three tragically died after being run over by heavy machinery at a construction site in Oklahoma City. Joshua Gunville-Quach, 34, was at work on Thursday, December 18, when he was struck by a skid steer, a piece of equipment used for construction and landscaping tasks.
Joshua was working to earn money for Christmas gifts for his children, according to his aunt, Katie Gunville, who shared the heartbreaking news on a GoFundMe page set up to support his family.
Katie explained that she had spoken with Joshua just before he headed to the construction site in northwest Oklahoma City. “To get the news that he was gone was very, very shocking to me,” Katie said. “I had to tell our family. That was really hard.”
Joshua leaves behind two young daughters and a son, all under the age of 10.
Details about the exact circumstances of the accident have not been released, but the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of Joshua’s death.
As of Monday, December 22, the GoFundMe campaign for Joshua’s family had raised nearly $1,000, with many donors expressing their support for the grieving family.
Joshua’s tragic passing has left his loved ones devastated, especially with the holiday season just around the corner.
