A Maryland firefighter is facing disturbing allegations after prosecutors say he filmed himself contaminating shared items and personal belongings while wearing his uniform.
Christopher Carroll, 36, who worked for the Baltimore County Fire Department, is accused of recording multiple incidents in which he allegedly left bodily fluids on items used by coworkers and others.
According to prosecutors, the alleged incidents took place at several locations, including a public safety building and Fire Station 2 in Pikesville.
Court documents claim some of the contaminated areas included his supervisor’s keyboard, a communal coffee creamer kept in a refrigerator, and a large ice machine inside the fire station.
Prosecutors allege that in one video, Carroll urinated into the ice machine, wiped the scoop with it, and then used the scoop to mix the substance throughout the ice before giving a thumbs-up gesture to the camera.
Additional videos allegedly show him contaminating a carton of orange juice, hand soap, a coworker’s ChapStick, a can of vegetables, an air conditioning vent inside the firehouse, and even a can of scented room spray in a doctor’s office waiting room.
Authorities believe the videos were uploaded online as part of a subscription-based platform where Carroll allegedly attempted to generate income.
His defense team says he does not have a prior criminal record. Reports indicate he turned himself in after the allegations surfaced.
The case remains ongoing, and further court proceedings are expected.
