Young Siblings Found Dead After Getting Trapped Inside Freezer While Playing Hide-and-Seek

A heartbreaking accident has left a family shattered after two young siblings died during what should have been a harmless game of hide-and-seek.

Saori Guevara Tiller, 8, and her 5-year-old brother Darien were found unresponsive inside a freezer at their home in Colombia after their parents returned from a quick trip to the store.

According to officials, the parents had been gone for roughly 20 minutes when they came back and realized the children were missing. After searching the house, they made a devastating discovery — both kids were trapped inside the appliance.

They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors tried desperately to save them, but both children were pronounced dead.

The children’s father said the freezer was unplugged at the time and believes the kids climbed inside while playing. At some point, the lid reportedly shut, trapping them inside.
