American Serial Killer Continues Rampage, At Least 8 Dead

Fears are growing in the city of Austin, Texas, that a serial killer may be on the loose, after the police discovered an eighth body in Lady Bird Lake last weekend.

The body of John Christopher Hays-Clark, 30, was found on Saturday afternoon, marking the eighth body to be discovered in the lake in the past 10 months.

However, the Austin Police Department has stated that they do not believe the eight deaths are related, although their investigation is ongoing.

Despite the police statement, the Austin community is demanding more answers about the recent spate of bodies discovered in Lady Bird Lake.

Four of the victims remain unidentified, but the other four have been identified and appear to have been close in age.

The victims also seem to have frequented Austin’s Rainey Street Entertainment District before their deaths. Jason John, 30, was found dead in Lady Bird Lake on February 13, 2023, Cliff Axtell, 40, was found dead in the lake on March 5, 2023, and Jonathan Honey, 33, was discovered by Austin police on April 1, 2023.

One common theme of the deaths in Austin this year is the combination of alcohol and easy access to Lady Bird Lake, according to the Austin Police Department.

However, the victims’ autopsies have not revealed any signs of trauma or foul play. Despite this, Austin police have pledged to continue investigating the matter, but have pushed back against the idea that the eight deaths are linked and possibly the result of a serial killer on the loose.

Family members of the victims are struggling to cope with the loss of their loved ones, and are calling for more information about the case.

Elsie John, the mother of one of the victims, spoke about the pain she feels each time she hears of another body being found. The community is looking for answers, and hopes that the police investigation will shed light on the recent deaths and put an end to the rising fears of a possible serial killer.
