In a chilling turn of events, a popular YouTuber known as Dallmyd, who goes by the name Jake, posted a video of his experience on the same OceanGate Expeditions vessel just weeks before a fatal incident claimed the lives of five individuals on board. Jake, a self-proclaimed treasure hunter with a massive online following, revealed that his scheduled dive on Mission III was canceled due to technical issues and unfavorable weather conditions. The haunting realization that he could have been on the ill-fated mission left Jake and his millions of followers stunned.

The Behind-the-Scenes Journey:
Through a more than 25-minute video, Jake offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse into his nine-day excursion with his girlfriend, which began with a boat trip in Newfoundland leading to the submersible. He emphasized the jovial atmosphere and unknowing optimism that surrounded the trip, as he had no inkling of the tragic events that would unfold.

The Canceled Dive and Fateful Test Dive:
While Jake’s planned dive was called off, he did participate in a 3,000-foot test dive with OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, who tragically perished during the subsequent mission to explore the Titanic wreck. Footage captured inside the vessel showcased Jake alongside Stockton and the crew, giving viewers a poignant reminder that the submersible they were witnessing would later implode, claiming five lives.

A Lasting Encounter and Lingering Signs of Trouble:
During the video, Jake revealed his interactions with the late Paul-Henri Nargeolet, a renowned French deep-sea explorer and Titanic expert, who also lost his life in the incident. Jake shared a signed piece of paper from Nargeolet, realizing it might be the explorer’s last autograph. Additionally, the video captured moments when both Stockton and Nargeolet signed a flag for Jake’s mission, further accentuating the profound loss suffered.

Cancellations and Ongoing Issues:
Jake interviewed a crew member who explained that the engineering test dive had been canceled due to technical problems and challenging sea conditions. The video depicted ongoing issues faced by the crew, signaling that something wasn’t quite right. Jake’s hindsight revealed that these troubles, though seemingly ordinary at the time, now take on a haunting significance.

  1. So sad about the five who died, living their dream. My only wish is that Obama would have been with them.

  2. Too bad Stockton didn’t live to stand trial for his arrogance and stupidity! Not only that hiring less than qualified people all in the name of diversity instead of hiring white military men with impeccable experience and records. Well done A Hole, you escaped having to answer for your actions. Not only that you took others with you! No empathy for Stockton.

  3. I am of the opinion that sub is like contact lenses. Use it a few times and then throw it away or it collapses like a tube of toothpaste. He used the cheapest materials to make it and even bragged to someone he got cheap scrap metal from the airlines to make the hull. Let alone it’s run by a PlayStation monitor.
Furthermore, I also read he was pressuring another father/son billionaire family last year to take the ride because he was desperate for the money. The kid knew a lot about engineering and told the father he didn’t believe the sub was safe enough to take on the deep depths of the ocean. So they cancelled the reservation and that slot was filled by the billionaire Pakistani father/son family. I hope those families screw the crap out of that company.
On top of that some of those CEO’s employees said he was very arrogant and wouldn’t listen to company engineers who told him the craft was structurally sound for what he was using it for and the fact that they refused to take trips down in it led to their dismissal.
