Casey Anthony’s parents to take lie detector test

The parents of the notorious Casey Anthony, George and Cindy Anthony, have taken the dramatic decision to go through a polygraph exam in an effort to clear their names. “Casey Anthony’s Parents: The Lie Detector Test,” a two-hour series that explores the tragic 2008 murder of their granddaughter Caylee Anthony, is scheduled to premiere on A&E and Lifetime.

After being prosecuted and then found not guilty of her two-year-old daughter’s death in 2011, Casey Anthony became well-known, causing significant division within her family and making headlines across the globe. The purpose of the next program is to clarify unanswered concerns about the case and the relationships within the Anthony family.

The polygraph was given by retired FBI Special Agent George Olivo, a seasoned expert with more than 20 years of polygraph testing experience. Although he declined to reveal the outcome, audiences can expect a spectacular reveal on January 4 when the show airs.

Speaking with Fox News Digital, Olivo offered details about the testing procedure and emphasized that, at first glance, George and Cindy Anthony looked like a “regular couple” while being examined. He recognized the difficult situation the Anthonys are in—they are being scrutinized by the public and dealing with charges from their own daughter.

The Anthony parents’ decision to submit to the polygraph test is explained as a sincere attempt to address Casey’s accusations. “If they claim that they didn’t do anything, it’s like the old saying goes, you’re darned if you do and you’re darned if you don’t,” Olivo said, acknowledging the Catch-22 scenario they find themselves in.

The episode is anticipated to discuss Casey Anthony’s 2022 appearance in the Peacock documentary “Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies,” in which she leveled serious charges against her father without going so far as to suggest a direct connection to Caylee’s demise.

When Casey was taken into custody in 2008 due to Caylee’s disappearance, the terrible story started. Casey was found not guilty of murder after prosecutors were unable to prove how Caylee passed away in a well reported trial in 2011. The court case unveiled a convoluted story: Casey insisted that Caylee drowned by accident, but the prosecution contended that she was choked to death using chloroform.
