If you’ve been keeping an eye on the latest shenanigans from the left, you might’ve caught former Labor Secretary Robert Reich’s latest column, where he sets his sights on Elon Musk. Yes, the same Robert Reich who has a knack for seeing corporate greed behind every corner—even when he’s got no proof, just his imagination running wild.

Now, Reich’s latest target is none other than Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, who happens to own X (formerly known as Twitter) and, oh yeah, revolutionized space travel with SpaceX. Reich is absolutely losing it, folks. He’s convinced that Musk is “out of control” and needs to be stopped. But here’s the kicker: what Reich really means is that Musk needs to be controlled. By who? You guessed it—the government, global regulators, and anyone else who will toe the line of Reich’s big-government agenda.

Reich’s tantrum isn’t just about Musk buying Twitter—excuse me, X—back in 2022. Oh no, Reich insists that this purchase was all about power, not free speech. Now, isn’t that rich coming from someone who served under Bill Clinton, a presidency known for its own power grabs? The truth is, Musk buying X wasn’t some grand plot against free speech; it was Musk doubling down on exactly that—protecting free speech in a world where tech giants routinely censor viewpoints they don’t like.

So, what’s Reich proposing? A six-point plan to “rein in” Musk. And surprise, surprise, it reads like a typical leftist playbook: punish, control, and silence. He calls for boycotting Tesla and X, as if attacking Musk’s businesses will somehow save the world. Not enough? Reich even wants regulators around the globe to threaten Musk with arrest. That’s right—arrest him if he doesn’t fall in line and stop spreading what Reich calls “lies and hate” on X.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t about protecting the public; it’s about silencing opposition. Reich cites France’s recent arrest of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov as a model, highlighting how European regulators are cracking down on platforms they deem dangerous. It’s not hard to see where this is going: the left wants to bring that kind of heavy-handed government control right here to the United States. But do we really want to be like France, where entrepreneurs can be thrown in jail at the whim of regulators? I didn’t think so.

And then there’s Reich’s most ludicrous idea yet: that the U.S. government should cut its ties with SpaceX. Yes, SpaceX, the company that’s launching satellites and rockets that our military and national security depend on. Reich argues Musk’s “contempt for the public good” makes him unfit to do business with the government. But here’s the reality—SpaceX is keeping America at the forefront of space exploration, and frankly, we need Musk’s innovation more than ever. Cutting SpaceX loose would be like shooting ourselves in the foot, all because Reich has some personal vendetta against Musk.

But it doesn’t stop there. Reich ends his tirade with a warning: make sure Musk’s preferred presidential candidate doesn’t get elected. Who’s he talking about? Donald Trump, of course. Musk has thrown his support behind Trump, who narrowly escaped an assassination attempt during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The left won’t say it outright, but they’re terrified of another Trump presidency, and they’re using Musk as their latest scapegoat in this endless war on conservatives.

Here’s the bottom line: Reich and his ilk aren’t concerned with the public interest. They’re not out to protect you—they’re out to control you. Reich’s attack on Musk is just another example of the left’s obsession with silencing dissenting voices and punishing those who dare to challenge their narrative. Elon Musk represents everything the left fears: independence, innovation, and a refusal to bow to the so-called progressive agenda. So when you see Reich’s name in the headlines, just remember: it’s not about Musk being out of control. It’s about a desperate attempt by the left to seize control. Don’t be fooled.
