A shocking confrontation at a gas station in Houston, Texas has gone viral after a man was caught on camera assaulting a woman over an alleged fender bender.
Footage shows Ronald Preston Gorham, a Houston resident, getting into a heated argument with a woman at a gas station on Perry and Mills Road. The altercation began after Gorham accused the woman of a “hit and run,” which she denied, explaining she had pulled over at the gas station after the minor incident.
The situation quickly escalated. After a phone call to the authorities, Gorham became physically aggressive, shouting insults at the woman and using racial slurs. At one point, he spat on her and began slapping and punching her while she struggled to defend herself and recorded the attack on her phone.

Candice Matthews, a spokesperson for the victim, confirmed in a Facebook post on October 24 that Gorham has been charged with assault and that hate crime charges are being pursued under Texas law. “This disgusting act will not be tolerated,” she wrote.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Gorham’s arrest. Matthews added that the victim is safe and unharmed, and she shared a photo of the charges on social media with the caption, “Justice is coming.”
The video has sparked outrage online, with viewers expressing support for the victim and calling for accountability. Some also noted concern about whether the legal system will fully address the attack, referencing past cases where viral attention did not result in lasting consequences for perpetrators.
