A video circulating online appears to show a Baltimore police officer attempting to run over a pedestrian with his squad car.
The footage starts with a man filming, confronting the officer after he stopped his friend, who had begun walking away down an alley. Moments later, the officer gets into his vehicle and speeds toward the pedestrian, who quickly changes direction to avoid being hit.
At one point, the officer seems to target the man filming, nearly striking him as he sprints away from the car. The chase continues, ending when the officer crashes the vehicle after pursuing the pedestrian into traffic and then back off the road.

The Baltimore Police Department confirmed it is aware of the “concerning actions” caught on camera. The officer involved has been suspended, and an investigation has been launched.
Police Commissioner Richard Worley said in a statement, “What is seen in this video is not only disturbing, but alarming. This is not how we expect our officers to behave, and this incident does not reflect the values or standards of the Baltimore Police Department.”
Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott also weighed in, calling the video “deeply concerning.” He added, “The officer in question has been suspended and the situation is under investigation. This investigation will be thorough, in accordance with all laws and regulations, to ensure proper accountability.”
The man who filmed the video told WBAL that his friend is okay, though he suffered a banged-up knee and is still sore.
