Travelers at Philadelphia International Airport were left stunned after two women were caught on video appearing to brawl near a departure gate.

The chaotic footage, which has been circulating online, appears to show the women locked in a violent altercation as shocked passengers stand nearby watching the scene unfold.

According to travel blog View From the Wing, the fight happened near Gate E8 at Philadelphia International Airport.

In the video, one woman is seen lying on the floor while another woman lunges over her and appears to grab at her head. As the fight continues, horrified travelers gather around the gate area, unsure how to react.

At one point, a bystander tries to step in and stop the confrontation but appears to get kicked during the chaos.

Several passengers eventually rush in and manage to pull the women apart.

It remains unclear what sparked the fight.

Some social media users speculated that the women may have been Frontier Airlines passengers because Frontier often operates from the airport’s E gates. However, Southwest and Allegiant also use gates in the same terminal.

One person who claimed to have been on the flight alleged that the dispute started onboard and continued after the plane landed.

Officials have not confirmed whether the women were on a Frontier flight or whether the confrontation began in the air.

Philadelphia International Airport reportedly directed questions to Frontier Airlines and Philadelphia Police Public Affairs. The airport did not immediately provide additional details.

It is also unclear whether anyone was arrested or cited.

If the fight did begin during a flight, the passengers involved could potentially face additional penalties under Federal Aviation Administration rules covering unruly passengers.
