Hunter Biden just turned a sweet tribute to his father into a blistering political jab at the Trump family.
The president’s son jumped on X on June 2 to defend former President Joe Biden, praising him as “the best Dad in the world” while firing back at critics who have long taken aim at the Biden family.
But the post did not stay sentimental for long.
“You might not like my Dad’s politics, but he is the best Dad in the world and I love him more than anything,” Hunter wrote.
Then came the swipe.
“If you’re worried about who is selling out this country you might want to check out who is paying Jared Kushner,” he added.
The comment appeared to be a direct shot at Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump’s husband and a former senior adviser in Donald Trump’s first administration.
Kushner founded Affinity Partners, a private equity firm he launched after leaving the White House. The company has faced scrutiny from political opponents and ethics watchdogs after receiving a reported $2 billion investment commitment from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.
Kushner has denied any wrongdoing and has repeatedly defended his business dealings.
Still, Hunter’s post quickly lit up the political world, with his defenders applauding him for going after the Trump family and critics accusing him of hypocrisy given the years of controversy surrounding his own name.
The jab also comes as Ivanka Trump and Kushner’s business ventures are getting fresh attention.
Ivanka recently spoke about a massive luxury development she and Kushner are pursuing on Sazan Island, an uninhabited 1,400-acre island off the coast of Albania.
Speaking on David Senra’s podcast, Ivanka said she first discovered the Mediterranean island during a boating trip with friends.
“We were on a friend’s boat, and we stopped for a swim,” she recalled. “Effectively, that’s how we found it.”
Ivanka described the development as “an incredible project” and said it is “massive in scale.” She also said the venture is deeply personal, calling it “the culmination of all of my experience in real estate.”
But not everyone was impressed.
The luxury project quickly sparked backlash online, with critics calling it tone deaf at a time when many Americans are struggling with high prices, housing costs, and everyday financial pressure.
One critic fumed, “Why in the hell would she throw this in the face of millions of less fortunate people in a failing economy.”
Another called the project “profoundly tone deaf.”
Some reports claim locals have even nicknamed the development “Trump Island.”
For Hunter, the moment was a chance to defend his father and turn the spotlight back on one of the Trump family’s most powerful insiders.
And with one post, he managed to do both.
