Plane Passengers Break Out in Wild Mid-Flight Brawl (Video)

Two passengers turned a London-bound flight into a chaotic scene when an argument erupted into a midair fistfight in front of stunned travelers, including children and elderly passengers.

The brawl happened aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight traveling from Sylhet, Bangladesh, to London on Sept. 17, according to the airline and local reporting.

Video shared online shows two men arguing across the seats before the confrontation quickly becomes physical.

At one point, one passenger appears to reach over a seat and strike the other before the pair begin exchanging punches. The scuffle becomes so intense that one man’s T-shirt is torn.

Other passengers can be seen trying to intervene as the fight unfolds inside the packed cabin.

Passenger Uddin Alim, who posted video of the incident on Facebook, said the scene was especially upsetting because children and elderly travelers were nearby.

He described being trapped thousands of feet in the air with nowhere to get away from the confrontation as a frightening experience.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines confirmed that a physical altercation took place.

Mohiuddin Ahmed, the airline’s general manager of public relations, said the flight had departed Sylhet for London when the two passengers became involved in a fight.

Cabin crew eventually stepped in and brought the situation under control.

Exactly what sparked the argument remains unclear.

Some later reports claimed the dispute may have involved seating, but the airline’s initial statement did not publicly confirm a cause.

It also remains unclear whether either passenger was injured or whether they faced any police or airline action after the aircraft landed in London.

The incident quickly spread across social media, where viewers reacted to the bizarre sight of punches being thrown in the middle of an international flight.

The video also highlights why physical altercations aboard aircraft can become especially dangerous. Cabin aisles are narrow, passengers have little room to move away, and crew members must control the situation while the aircraft is still in the air.
