At the Official Florida Welcome Center on Interstate 95, authorities made a startling discovery on Thursday afternoon. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) discovered a mobile meth factory while conducting a routine traffic stop for allegedly improper window tint. Just south of the Florida-Georgia state line, the welcome center was evacuated and briefly shuttered as a precaution.

Two people, a 42-year-old female driver and a 41-year-old male passenger, were detained by the FHP as they were making their way from Charleston, South Carolina, to Apopka in Central Florida. The Florida Highway Patrol discovered both liquid and crystal methamphetamine inside the car, along with the supplies needed to make the drugs, according to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Office and Nassau County Fire Rescue were contacted for aid after the authorities realized that the methamphetamine was dangerous and flammable. A hazmat team was sent in to handle the hazardous items and carefully clean up the area.

The two concerned parties were apprehended and sent to the Nassau County Jail. Charges for trafficking, possession, and the creation or production of methamphetamine are anticipated against them. They will also be accused of bringing felony contraband into Florida. The driver will also be issued a ticket for using an unlicensed window tint.

The incident serves as a reminder of both the threats posed by the production of illicit drugs and the continuous fight against drug-related crimes. The discovery of a mobile meth lab highlights the necessity for law enforcement organizations to keep up their vigilance in the fight against the spread of illegal narcotics.

Additional information may become available as the investigation into the event continues, according to the authorities. Following the conclusion of the cleanup and investigation, the Florida Welcome Center is anticipated to reopen.

The episode serves as a sobering reminder of the significance of law enforcement initiatives to combat drug-related crimes, as well as the necessity of ongoing public awareness and support in the campaign against illicit narcotics.

  1. From what I remember Kato Kaylan scored Meth for O.J. the night he slaughtered Nicole and the Young man. Meth makes people evil and made the lineman a scary opponent on the gridiron—My opinion

    1. OJ Simpson was NOT a lineman, he was a very talented running back. Also, I doubt he was using any meth during his playing days. Same as alcohol, meth do change people, but not always make people “evil”. Evil is in your basic character or it is not.
OJ Simpson was actually a very likable individual and not threatening at all. he was good at comedy and was very good in a couple of movies with Leslie Nielsen.
He was found not guilty at the trial, but he did had motive to kill them so probably did.
