An ex-assistant principal of Kanye West’s private Christian school has filed a lawsuit, alleging that staff members were punished for speaking out while children were made to attend classes in filthy and hazardous settings. The case intensifies the ongoing debates surrounding the exclusive institution, which has recently been involved in a number of judicial battles.
Unsafe circumstances and claims of retaliation
Kanye West’s school employee Isaiah Meadows, who worked there from November 2020 to August 2022, claims that the facility was left in unsafe and incomplete condition. The property allegedly featured glassless windows and poor electrical wiring that once started a fire close to the student dining area. According to Meadows’ attorneys, these circumstances created a serious risk to the students’ safety.
The lawsuit also asserts that poorly maintained sewage tanks on the site regularly overflowed, producing an unpleasant odor. Staff members apparently complained about these conditions repeatedly, yet they allegedly continued, endangering both students and workers.
Litigation and Responsibility
Ron Zambrano of West Coast Employment Lawyers, Isaiah Meadows’ attorney, underscored the gravity of the circumstance by describing what has been occurring at the school as “absolutely egregious.” Zambrano further emphasized that several ex-employees, who did not collaborate, have made comparable claims of unfair termination and violations of the health, safety, and educational codes. The goal is to hold Kanye West and the administrators of the schools responsible for their alleged illegal and retaliatory actions.
A lawyer for Kanye West and a representative of Meadows have not yet responded to demands for comment as of the time of publication.
Disputes involving the School
Kanye West’s private school has previously been the subject of debate and legal issues. The organization is accused of having a number of unusual procedures and rules in previous litigation. There are allegations that Kanye forced students to eat their sushi for lunch on the floor with their hands, forbade the wearing of Adidas or Nike clothing on campus, and refused to hold classes on the second level because of his fear of stairs.
The Lawsuit Raises Additional Issues
The current complaint filed by Isaiah Meadows adds to the worries about the school voiced by a number of former employees. The complaints range from not having materials for instruction to being forbidden from teaching about the Holocaust. These workers claim that Kanye West retaliated against them with unfair treatment and unjust termination.
It is unclear how the accusations will be handled and what effect they will have on the future of Kanye West’s private school as legal proceedings continue.

First I’ve heard of this school… can’t expect a private school to be just like a public school…
