Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is back at it again, spreading dangerous misinformation, this time about Israel’s operation targeting Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. Israel carried out a strategic strike, blowing up pagers and walkie-talkies loaded with explosives that Hezbollah was using. The result? Hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists critically injured and dozens dead. But leave it to AOC to turn the narrative on its head and push Hezbollah propaganda.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), AOC had the audacity to claim that Israel’s actions “seriously injured and killed innocent civilians” and violated “international humanitarian law.” She conveniently left out the fact that the targets were Hezbollah operatives — a terrorist organization hell-bent on Israel’s destruction. It wasn’t civilians Israel was after, it was terrorists, plain and simple.

AOC’s response didn’t sit well with people who actually know what they’re talking about. Joe Truzman, a senior analyst at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, pointed out that Hezbollah’s propaganda machine was trying to spin the operation as an attack on civilians — and AOC seems to have bought it hook, line, and sinker. “Let’s be clear: The operation was against Hezbollah and it was an impressive feat,” Truzman said. It’s telling that AOC’s narrative aligns with Hezbollah’s, isn’t it?

The pushback against AOC was swift. NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo grilled her, asking, “Would you have been defending al Qaeda when America was lighting them up in Iraq?” It’s a good question. What exactly is AOC defending here — Hezbollah’s right to terrorize Israel? Because that’s what it sounds like.

Let’s not forget: this is the same AOC who broke into tears when the House passed funding for Israel’s Iron Dome defense system, a system designed to save innocent civilians from Hamas and Hezbollah’s indiscriminate rocket attacks. Yet here she is, rushing to the defense of terrorists, not their victims.

As Meghan McCain put it, “Retaliating against terrorists is not against the law.” But that’s exactly what AOC is suggesting — that Israel should just sit on its hands while Hezbollah and Hamas rain rockets down on Israeli homes. And she’s not alone. Her colleagues in the Squad, like Rep. Rashida Tlaib, have repeatedly shown more sympathy for terrorist organizations than for the citizens of Israel, or even the Palestinian people living under their oppressive regimes.

Joe Lonsdale, a tech entrepreneur, summed it up nicely: “So very sorry what happened to all your terrorist friends, who are at war against Israel.”

AOC can try to spin this any way she wants, but the facts remain. Israel has the right to defend itself against Hezbollah, a terrorist organization that’s been firing rockets and killing innocent Israelis for years. Yet somehow, AOC always manages to make herself the spokesperson for these terror groups, while pretending to care about “international law.”

If anyone needs a full accounting, it’s AOC herself — an accounting for why she’s so consistently on the wrong side of the truth.
