Here we go again—another massive surge in immigration, and once again, it’s Black Americans who are paying the price. This isn’t just a theory or speculation. It’s happening right now. A top conservative immigration expert is warning that the recent flood of foreign workers into the U.S. is devastating the job prospects for native-born Americans, particularly Black workers. And guess what? The data backs him up.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics just dropped a bombshell: in the last 12 months, more than 1.3 million jobs have vanished for native-born Americans, while foreign-born workers have scooped up 1.2 million new jobs. That’s right. As of August this year, there are 129.7 million native-born workers, down from 131 million last year—a staggering 1.3 million jobs lost. Meanwhile, foreign-born workers have surged in numbers, with 1.24 million more jobs filled by immigrants over the same period.

So what does this mean for Americans—particularly Black Americans? Roy Beck, the founder of NumbersUSA and a well-known advocate for reducing immigration, argues that this immigration surge is hitting Black workers the hardest. Beck has spent years researching how mass immigration has consistently been tied to the depression of Black wealth. In his latest book, Back of the Hiring Line: A 200-Year History of Immigration Surges, Employer Bias, and Depression of Black Wealth, Beck breaks down how these government-induced migration policies have crippled the economic prospects of Black Americans time and time again.

Here’s what the numbers show: unemployment among Black Americans is 6.1% as of August. That’s nearly double the rate for White Americans, which stands at 3.8%. But, of course, the White House will pat themselves on the back for lowering the Black unemployment rate from its peak in previous years. But let’s not kid ourselves—these gains are being wiped out as foreign-born workers flood the market.

Beck hits the nail on the head when he points out that immigration depresses wages and job opportunities for everyone—but Black Americans are always the hardest hit. Why? It’s no secret: racial discrimination still exists in the job market. Employers, consciously or not, tend to hire Black workers last. And in a labor market flooded with foreign workers willing to work for less, guess who gets pushed to the back of the line? That’s right, Black Americans.

“When immigration is low, Black Americans thrive. When immigration is high, Black Americans suffer,” Beck explains. He argues that controlling immigration isn’t just about reducing competition for jobs—it’s about creating a tight labor market, where employers have no choice but to offer better wages and opportunities to all Americans, particularly those who have historically been marginalized.

The Biden administration, however, seems to be doing the opposite. For the past three and a half years, they’ve practically thrown open the borders, with record numbers of foreign workers pouring into the country. And guess what? That’s driving down wages and pushing native-born Americans, particularly Black workers, out of jobs.

So where are the Black civil rights leaders? Where is the outrage? According to Beck, many of these national leaders have been suspiciously silent. Why? Beck suggests that it’s because of political alliances—alliances with Hispanic political leaders, despite the fact that polls show a majority of Hispanic Americans don’t want this mass immigration either. The truth is, these leaders are betraying the very communities they claim to represent.

But there’s a silver lining. Beck says local Black leaders in cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, and Houston are starting to speak out. These leaders see what’s happening in their own communities, and they’re fed up. They’re watching as housing shortages worsen, wages stagnate, and job opportunities disappear—all while foreign workers continue to flood in.

Beck believes change is coming. “At some point, these leaders are going to get left behind,” he says, as more and more people wake up to the reality that mass immigration isn’t helping anyone except big business and political elites. The American people—especially Black Americans—are not going to keep putting up with national leaders who sell them out in favor of a flood of cheap foreign labor.

The truth is, immigration is something the government can control. But for years, they’ve chosen not to. And now, we’re seeing the results: native-born Americans, particularly Black Americans, are losing jobs at an alarming rate. It’s time for leaders to put the interests of American workers first, before it’s too late.
