Jamie Metzl, who once advised President Bill Clinton and served as a top Democratic foreign policy hand, stunned political watchers by publicly praising Trump’s action. “This was a bold and courageous step in defense of America’s core interests,” Metzl posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “I’m no Trump fan, but credit where it’s due. The president showed resolve.”
Metzl went further, openly questioning whether former Vice President Kamala Harris would have had the guts to make the same call if she were in the Oval Office. “Harris lacks the courage and fortitude to take an essential step like this,” Metzl remarked, calling Trump’s decision “essential for U.S. security.”

According to Defense Secretary Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine, the mission relied on “unprecedented deception” to keep Iran guessing. “Our B-2s went in and out with the world none the wiser. It was a textbook operation,” said Hegseth.
