President Trump Accuses Obama of Criminal Acts, Says Supreme Court Ruling May Be His Shield—But Not His Staff’s
President Donald Trump isn’t holding back. Just days after the Supreme Court ruled that presidents enjoy broad immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts, Trump dropped a political grenade: he says former President Barack Obama was the “ringleader” behind the Russia hoax—and now he’s likely shielded by the very immunity ruling Democrats once feared would only protect Trump.
In a fiery address Friday morning, President Trump said bluntly, “Obama owes me BIG.”
“He’s done criminal acts—no question,” Trump told reporters outside the White House. “But now, with the Court’s ruling, he probably gets off the hook. It helps him. It doesn’t help the people around him, but it helps him a lot. That man owes me. Big time.”
The comment came just days after Trump accused Obama of orchestrating the infamous Trump-Russia collusion narrative, now widely discredited, in a calculated effort to sabotage Trump’s 2016 presidential run and undermine his presidency.
Newly Declassified Intel Points to Obama-Era Manipulation
Backing Trump’s claims is a newly declassified report from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. Speaking from the White House Wednesday, Gabbard revealed that “deep state actors” within the intelligence community actively blocked attempts to release critical information exposing the origins of the Russia probe.
“This wasn’t just bad intelligence—it was weaponized misinformation,” Gabbard said. “There were powerful people in government who didn’t want the truth about Russiagate to see the light of day.”
The intelligence report—originally compiled in 2020 by then-House Intelligence Committee Chair Devin Nunes (R-CA)—accuses former CIA Director John Brennan of pushing the now-debunked Steele dossier into the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA). The dossier was based on what the report calls “internet rumor.”
Perhaps most damning: the ICA, ordered directly by then-President Obama, was “rushed” into publication just two weeks before Trump took office—bypassing internal review processes and relying on a tight-knit team of only five CIA analysts.
“The production of this assessment was politically directed,” the report reads. “This wasn’t an objective review. It was a hit job ordered from the top.”
Obama Camp Fires Back: “Bizarre and Ridiculous”
Former President Obama’s camp swiftly denied Trump’s allegations in a rare public statement.
“Out of respect for the office of the presidency, we don’t usually respond to nonsense from this White House,” spokesman Patrick Rodenbush said. “But these bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.”
Rodenbush defended the 2017 report’s findings, claiming they were “widely accepted” and emphasized that “Russia did try to influence the election—but never changed a single vote.”
Still, with Tulsi Gabbard now at the helm of the DNI and the Trump administration doubling down on declassified revelations, Obama and his inner circle may soon find themselves in a legal spotlight they never anticipated—except now, thanks to SCOTUS, Obama himself might be immune.
The Deep State Strikes Again?
Appearing on Jesse Watters Primetime, Gabbard was blunt: “There are a lot of deep state actors still embedded in D.C. They didn’t want the truth out. But President Trump does. I do. And so do the American people.”
She added, “This isn’t just about political score-settling—it’s about restoring integrity to our intelligence agencies and holding those who abused their power accountable.”
What Comes Next?
With the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling now the law of the land and Trump publicly accusing Obama of criminal conduct, the pressure is mounting.
Will Congress act? Will former intelligence officials be held accountable? And will Obama’s staff—many of whom lack the same legal protections—face charges?
President Trump made one thing clear: “We’re not stopping until the full truth comes out.”
