Prince William’s 2025 Salary Revealed — and It’s Eye-Watering

A new royal financial report has revealed how much Prince William earned in 2025 — and let’s just say it’s more than most people will see in a lifetime.

As the heir to the British throne, William doesn’t get a paycheck like a normal 9-to-5 job. Instead, his income comes from the Duchy of Cornwall, a centuries-old estate created in 1337 to financially support the Prince of Wales. The estate, valued at a staggering £1.26 billion, includes 135,000 acres of land, farms, and properties across 23 counties in southwest England.

So how much did he pocket this year? According to the Duchy’s latest report, William earned £22.9 million during the 2024–2025 financial year — slightly less than last year’s £23.6 million. That massive sum covers everything from royal duties and charitable work to private family expenses for William, Kate Middleton, and their three children.

And yes — even royals pay taxes. William is understood to contribute income tax on his Duchy earnings, though the exact amount isn’t disclosed.

Beyond the lavish paycheck, William is responsible for managing the estate — a job that includes overseeing agricultural lands, championing sustainability goals like making the Duchy net-zero by 2032, and launching initiatives such as a major anti-homelessness campaign in Newquay.

The reveal comes amid a rough year for the Royal Family, as Prince Andrew continues to face fallout from his ties to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. After being stripped of his titles, Andrew’s name resurfaced when Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir revisited her allegations against him, reigniting public outrage.
