Cops may be closing in on the people who were closest to ex-Prince Andrew during his most controversial years — and insiders say his former security detail is suddenly very nervous.

RadarOnline is reporting that investigators are getting ready to question former royal protection officers who once guarded Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor while he maintained links to Jeffrey Epstein.

The reported move comes after a new flood of Epstein-related material was made public by the U.S. Department of Justice, which said it published nearly 3.5 million pages in response to the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

According to Radar’s source, detectives are trying to figure out what Andrew’s protection team knew at the time — and whether anything they witnessed during trips and meetings should have raised alarms.

The report claims police want first-hand recollections, especially tied to Andrew’s visits to Epstein’s New York townhouse. The source alleges investigators are urging former officers not to shrug off small details, because even “minor” memories can help build a timeline.

That focus isn’t coming out of nowhere.

In February, The Times reported that Metropolitan Police officers were instructed to provide security at a dinner party at Epstein’s New York home — adding new heat around how far official protection resources may have extended in Epstein’s orbit.

In February, multiple outlets reported that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested in the U.K. on suspicion of misconduct in public office connected to his relationship with Epstein.

He has denied wrongdoing related to Epstein, and the reported investigation remains ongoing.

The DOJ’s document releases have triggered blowback in Washington, too. Earlier this week, The Washington Post reported that bipartisan senators asked the Government Accountability Office to review how the Justice Department handled the Epstein files process, including redactions and victim privacy concerns.

Bottom line: If police really start interviewing the people who were paid to stay at Andrew’s side, that could open a new chapter — not just about what he did, but what the people around him saw, logged, and stayed quiet about.
