A horrifying case out of Mexico City is sending shockwaves online after disturbing footage surfaced showing the final moments of a young mother and former beauty queen before she was brutally killed.
Carolina Flores Gomez, 27, was shot multiple times inside her upscale apartment on April 15 in what authorities believe was a targeted attack. Even more chilling — police say the suspected shooter is her own mother-in-law.
Video reportedly captured inside the home shows Carolina walking through her living room before heading into another room. Moments later, her mother-in-law, 63-year-old Erika Herrera, is seen quietly following behind her with her hands in her pockets.
Seconds after they disappear from view, loud bangs ring out — followed by screams.

What happens next is even harder to process.
Carolina’s husband, Alejandro Gomez, rushes into the frame holding their 8-month-old baby, clearly confused and panicked. According to reports, he asks his mother in Spanish, “What was that? What did you do?”
Her alleged response?
“Nothing. She made me angry.”
When he pushes back, telling her Carolina is his family, she reportedly fires back with a chilling line: “You’re mine… and she stole you.”
Authorities say the shooting wasn’t reported until the following day, with family members allegedly fearing for the safety of the infant.
Now, an arrest warrant has been issued for Herrera, who remains on the run as investigators continue searching for her.
Carolina wasn’t just a young mom — she was also a rising influencer and former pageant winner, crowned Miss Teen Universe for Baja California in 2017. Friends say she was full of life, known for sharing her travels, fashion, and daily moments online.
Since her death, tributes have poured in from loved ones struggling to come to terms with the loss.
“Carolina was beautiful inside and out,” one friend wrote. “A life full of dreams and love… taken in the most unforgivable way.”
Her mother has since organized protests demanding justice, urging people not to let her daughter become “just another statistic.”

This mother in-law is evil not crazy. Apparently thought her son would stay with her forever which is just weird. Then for the husband to not call police, why would they take the baby if you didn’t have anything to do with it? Lock them all up the husband is a fricken coward still listening to mommy. They should place the baby with the maternal grandmother and let the husband and the rest of his family rot like the trash they are.
