Shocking video captured the moment police rushed to stop a knife-wielding suspect after a violent attack left two men injured in a heavily Jewish neighborhood in London.
The incident unfolded Wednesday in Golders Green, where authorities say a man armed with a knife allegedly stabbed two victims before being confronted by officers.
In cellphone footage circulating online, officers can be heard shouting, “Drop the knife!” as they move in on the suspect. Moments later, police deploy a taser, bringing the man to the ground. Officers then move quickly to restrain him, with help from members of Shomrim who were at the scene.
One officer is heard telling the suspect he is being arrested for attempted murder as he is pinned down.

Authorities say the victims—a man in his 70s and another in his 30s—were rushed to a hospital. Both are reported to be in stable condition.
Another video from the scene shows the suspect lunging at an elderly man waiting at a bus stop moments before the attack, highlighting just how quickly the situation escalated.
The case is being treated as a terrorist incident, according to officials. The suspect, who has not been publicly identified, is described as a 45-year-old man with a history of serious violence and mental health issues, according to Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley.
In the aftermath, an Iranian-backed group claimed responsibility, calling the attack retaliation tied to tensions in the Middle East. Authorities are still investigating that claim.
The attack has sparked renewed concern over rising antisemitic incidents in the UK, particularly in areas like Golders Green, where a large portion of the population is Jewish.
Rowley spoke out at the scene, saying many Jewish residents now feel forced to make difficult choices about how openly they live their lives.
“We need to be honest about the nature of the threat,” he said, pointing to extremist ideologies and outside influences contributing to the rise in hate.
Police have defended the actions of the officers involved after some criticism online, saying the suspect continued to pose a serious threat even after being confronted.
“Our officers faced a man they believed to be a terrorist who refused to show his hands and continued trying to attack,” the department said in a statement. “They used their training and courage to bring the situation under control.”
Keir Starmer called the attack “utterly appalling,” praising both law enforcement and local community members for their quick response.
King Charles III also expressed concern, with Buckingham Palace saying he was “deeply troubled” after being briefed on the incident.
