A terrifying multi-vehicle crash involving a city bus, a gravel truck, and a white sedan left more than a dozen people injured Wednesday morning in Santa Clarita, California.
The violent collision happened near the intersection of Centre Pointe Parkway and Golden Valley Road and triggered a massive emergency response as firefighters and paramedics rushed to the chaotic scene.
According to authorities, at least 13 people were hurt in the crash.
Four victims reportedly suffered critical injuries, while nine others sustained minor injuries.
Emergency crews called in 10 ambulances as first responders worked frantically to triage victims scattered across the wreckage.
One person became trapped inside the mangled vehicles and had to be rescued by emergency crews before being transported to the hospital.
Photos and aerial footage from the scene showed catastrophic damage, including an overturned city bus, a crushed white sedan partially pinned underneath the gravel truck, and debris scattered across the roadway.
Authorities said the gravel truck was carrying a load at the time of the collision, spilling material across the intersection after impact.
Officials confirmed that all injured victims had been transported from the scene by late Wednesday morning.
Investigators have not yet revealed exactly what caused the violent crash.
