In a shocking revelation that underscores the dangers lurking within our borders, a Pakistani immigrant with alleged ties to Iran has been accused of orchestrating a chilling plot to assassinate former President Donald Trump and other prominent U.S. politicians. According to sources and a federal criminal complaint, Asif Merchant, 46, aimed to hire hitmen for these political assassinations in New York City.

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Breon Peace, has revealed that Merchant planned these assassinations in August or early September. He allegedly paid advance sums of $5,000 to individuals he believed to be contract killers. In a twist that reads like a spy thriller, these supposed hitmen turned out to be undercover law enforcement officers.

Merchant’s sinister intentions came to light when he traveled to New York in June to meet with these supposed hitmen. During these meetings, he claimed he was arranging funds with a contact overseas, a narrative confirmed by the U.S. Attorney’s office. Days later, he procured the advance cash, allegedly signaling to the undercover agents that the plot was moving forward.

The stakes couldn’t be higher, as Merchant’s alleged plot included targeting Trump among several other current and former U.S. government officials. This revelation, sourced from an insider familiar with the investigation, adds a layer of gravity to an already explosive situation.

As the plot thickened, Merchant’s preparations were abruptly halted on July 12, when he was arrested just as he was about to leave the U.S. Under detention, he revealed having a wife and children in Iran, and another family in Pakistan. A man leading a double life with homes in both Tehran and Pakistan, plotting assassination on American soil—this is the kind of stuff that should jolt every American to attention.

In the wake of this alarming discovery, sources disclosed that the Secret Service had ramped up Trump’s security detail, a necessary response to the credible threat. It’s a reminder that the dangers posed by foreign actors are real, and vigilance is not just a word but a necessity.

Authorities have clarified that this Iranian-linked plot is distinct from a separate assassination attempt on Trump by Thomas Crooks, who shockingly opened fire from a rooftop in Butler, Pennsylvania. The convergence of multiple threats against a former president is a stark reminder of the perilous times we live in.

This case raises profound questions about the security of our nation, the vetting of immigrants, and the ever-present threats from hostile foreign actors. Merchant’s plot, with its ties to Iran, underscores a disturbing reality: the enemies of America are persistent, and their plots are insidious.

  1. $5000 for Trump?
Never hire a low budget assassin…That is usually a plant….and please do not plan any more assassination of the Evil one. Let him lose the election and escape to Russia under the protection of his master. The best punishment we can inflict on Putin is having to hear the Donald ranting and whining for the rest of his life.

  2. We need to excite all of these illegals and make it public. Send a message to the world.
