What was supposed to be a magical day at Disney World turned into chaos—and ended with handcuffs and a lifetime ban.
Authorities say Diego Rodriguez was arrested after allegedly causing a scene at Epcot on April 21.
According to reports, Rodriguez was visiting the park with a woman and a child and was waiting in line to meet a performer dressed as Mirabel from the Disney movie Encanto.
That’s when things started to unravel.
Witnesses say Rodriguez and his group repeatedly tried to cut the line, despite being told multiple times by a staff member that it wasn’t allowed. At one point, the child reportedly tried to run up to Mirabel but was stopped by an attendant.
Tensions escalated further when the child’s mother attempted to get an autograph, only to be told the character was only taking photos at that time. Reports say she then waved the autograph book in the performer’s face.
Moments later, things allegedly turned physical.
Rodriguez is accused of grabbing an attendant by the arm, shaking her, and yelling at both the staff member and the performer. Witnesses say he also lunged toward Mirabel, shouting, “Why can everyone take a picture but us?”
Staff quickly intervened, and security called law enforcement to the scene.
Rodriguez was taken into custody and later charged with battery. He was also issued a lifetime trespass notice, meaning he is permanently banned from all Walt Disney World Resort properties.
The incident is just the latest in a string of heated confrontations at Disney parks in recent years.
From full-blown fights over line cutting to arguments turning physical, similar incidents have been reported at parks around the world, including brawls at Disneyland Shanghai and altercations at Walt Disney World itself.
In response, Disney has tightened its rules and reminders for guests, emphasizing respect, patience, and basic courtesy.
Park guidelines clearly state that line jumping, aggressive behavior, and profanity are not allowed—and those who break the rules can be removed from the park.

And people wonder why kids don’t know how to behave, just pathetic. People are unable to control themselves anymore and think they can behave anyway they want to. We have rules no matter where you go and if you don’t like it or are unable to control yourself stay home.
