The recent announcement that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have been subpoenaed by the January 6 special counsel did not seem to trouble former President Donald Trump, who is over 50 years old.
Despite being in East Palestine, Ohio, when the news broke, he remained focused on his lunch and did not show any signs of concern. According to RadarOnline.com, he ordered McDonald’s for himself and first responders.
The 76-year-old, who is considering running for president again, traveled to the area to witness the destruction caused by the February 3 Norfolk Southern train derailment, which resulted in the release of hazardous chemicals under controlled conditions.
Despite the mounting legal challenges against himself and his business organization, Trump seemed to ignore them during his visit to Ohio. He instead focused on addressing the locals, telling them that they had been let down by President Joe Biden and his administration, despite critics blaming Trump-era deregulations for the disaster.
During his speech, Trump claimed that “Biden and FEMA said they would not send federal aid to [the town] under any circumstances.” He also took credit for convincing officials to take action by stating, “We opened up the dam, and we got them to move.”
Trump’s comments came after the Biden administration criticized his visit to Ohio, calling it a mere photo-op.
The former television personality continued his speech in a rally-style and commended the law enforcement officers for their “strength and courage.”
Trump made it clear to the crowd that they were not forgotten. He also took the time to donate canned goods and bottled water before moving on to his next stop on the Ohio tour – McDonald’s.
This is the kind of article I would not expect to read on True News with all the sly, snide remarks about President Trump. The “author” of this piece should focus on the facts and leave out his personal slights and innuendo. If I wanted to read this kind of nonsense I would turn to CNN or MSNBC…
James,
It was written that way because what he said is true. It was nothing more than a photo op for DT. Speaking at a podium with his logo on it and signing autographs, all the while ignoring the fact that his administration’s deregulation policies play a part in unfortunate incidents like this one. Had he been president now, this still would’ve happened, and the light still would be shining on his deregulation policies…probably more so. If these poor people think that he is there out of the goodness of his heart, they are sadly mistaken. BTW, I am not a Dem or a RINO. Just look at the history and the facts. It’s plain as day to see.
Funny how they didn’t mention the water, and other things Trump brought with him. Was this written by a niggeRAT?
