House Republicans have just lobbed a political grenade at President Joe Biden, accusing him of committing not one but two impeachable offenses, mere hours before he’s set to take center stage at the Democratic National Convention. The timing couldn’t be more pointed, delivering a stark reminder that the Biden administration is far from out of the woods when it comes to the mounting scandals that have plagued his presidency.

The Republicans didn’t mince words. Their investigation, which kicked off last September, was sparked by mounting evidence that Biden, at 81 years old, had repeatedly engaged with his relatives’ foreign business partners during his vice presidency. If that wasn’t bad enough, whistleblowers within the IRS came forward, alleging a broad Justice Department cover-up to shield Biden from scrutiny.

According to the scathing 291-page report authored by three House committees, Biden has not only abused his power but actively obstructed justice—or Congress—in a manner so egregious that impeachment is not just warranted but necessary. The core of these accusations? A $27 million influence-peddling scheme that the report claims Biden aided and concealed, all to line the pockets of his family.

The Founders’ Worst Nightmare

The report’s findings are damning, claiming that Biden’s conduct represents everything the Founders sought to prevent in crafting the Constitution’s impeachment provisions: abuse of power, foreign entanglements, corruption, and obstruction of justice. According to the report, Biden and his family have engaged in a global influence-peddling racket, all while Biden himself played the role of enabler.

This inquiry, which has been described as one of the most extensive in recent history, wasn’t a flash in the pan. It involved interviewing 30 witnesses, issuing 30 subpoenas, and pouring over millions of pages of business contracts, bank records, and other documents. The result? A narrative that accuses Biden of not just aiding in shady business deals orchestrated by his son Hunter and brother James, but of actively working to cover up these dealings by stonewalling Congress.

A Legacy in Tatters

This report couldn’t come at a worse time for Biden, who only recently announced his decision to retire after a mutiny within his own party over concerns about his mental acuity. The allegations in this report cast a dark shadow over his legacy, suggesting that while serving as vice president, Biden “knowingly participated” in a conspiracy to monetize his public office for personal gain.

The financial stakes here are jaw-dropping. As much as $18 million allegedly flowed from foreign entities to accounts linked to the Biden family, all part of what the report describes as “corrupt dealings” designed to sell the “Biden brand” to the highest bidder. The report paints a picture of Biden wining and dining with foreign patrons, making calls, and even dining with them, all to give the impression that paying his family meant gaining access to one of the most powerful men in the world.

Will Biden Face Impeachment?

Despite the explosive nature of the report, it’s uncertain whether House Republicans can muster the votes to actually impeach Biden. The GOP holds a narrow majority, and there are signs that some within the party might balk at such a drastic step, especially now that Biden is a lame-duck president who has already announced he won’t seek a second term. However, the possibility of a censure—a formal reprimand—remains on the table.

But even if impeachment doesn’t happen, the damage is done. This report will forever taint Biden’s presidency, cementing the narrative that the Biden family engaged in widespread corruption, with Joe Biden himself playing a pivotal role.

A Pattern of Obstruction

The report also accuses Biden of obstructing Congress by refusing to turn over crucial documents and denying access to key witnesses. The allegations extend to Biden’s Justice Department, which the report says interfered in a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes, effectively running out the clock on potential charges.

And let’s not forget Biden’s own mishandling of classified documents, which he allegedly disclosed to his ghostwriter for a memoir. Special counsel Hur, who investigated Biden, opted not to bring charges, citing Biden’s age and diminished mental capacity as factors that might sway a jury to view him sympathetically. But the report makes it clear: Biden’s actions, regardless of his current mental state, were calculated and intentional.

The Bottom Line

In sum, the House Republicans’ report is a blistering indictment of Joe Biden’s presidency, alleging that his actions exceed the threshold for impeachable conduct. Whether or not the GOP moves forward with impeachment, the message is clear: Biden’s tenure has been marred by scandal, corruption, and a blatant disregard for the rule of law.

As Biden prepares to take the stage at the Democratic National Convention, one thing is certain—his presidency will forever be remembered not for its achievements but for the scandals that have defined it.

  1. It is about time we get to see some honest reporting which is almost totally absence from the likes of CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS along with the likes of the New York Times and Washington Post. Is there any plans to send folks like Biden and his many Democrat Party cohorts to Gitmo for treason violations?
Remember both Biden and Harris supported immediate funding for Antifa and Black Lives Matter including bail out money for any of them that were arrested in the wild city riot scenes.
Because of Biden’s criminal record plus the fact that it was virtually impossible for him to honestly win the 2020 election (too many FACTS in that regard not to be ignored and suppressed by Dems/RINO politicians and members of the judiciary, is it not time to start a movement to DEFUND any consideration of Biden for construction of a Presidental Library, current costs are estimated at $1 billion or more. Anyone want to jump on board?
