A California restaurant owner is behind bars after allegedly pulling out a revolver and firing at a customer during a heated late-night fight over a bill.
Police say the incident unfolded around 4 a.m. at Dos Culturas Restaurant on Santa Rosa Avenue in Santa Rosa, CA. According to investigators, 48-year-old Moises Flores and a 37-year-old man had been drinking when an argument over payment turned physical and spilled into the parking lot.
At that point, authorities allege Flores went back inside, grabbed a revolver, and fired a shot toward the man. The bullet missed but shattered the rear window of a parked car where a woman was sitting. Thankfully, she was not injured.
The customer told police he was assaulted during the fight and suffered minor injuries. Witnesses reported hearing a single gunshot followed by breaking glass. Officers who searched the restaurant say they found Flores inside, along with the revolver and live rounds hidden in the kitchen.
Flores was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, shooting at an occupied vehicle, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and violating probation. Court records show he was already on probation from a 2023 conviction involving a gun and DUI, which barred him from possessing firearms or drinking alcohol.
Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact their crime tips line.
